Start Recovery has five locations throughout Oklahoma and offers most steps needed on the path to recovery. Within each of these different steps, there are different plans for different clients. This is because Start recovery understands that the road to sobriety isn’t a one size fits all ordeal.

30-day, 60-day, and 90-day inpatient programs are offered. The 30-day program is recommended for those who have less severe addictions, while the 90-day program is for those with severe addictions. Start recovery also offers a comprehensive detox program to help clients get through one of the most difficult phases of rehabilitation.

Families who are desperate to get a loved one the help that they need can use Start Recovery’s intervention program. Trained professionals are available to plan out and assist in what can be a very difficult encounter to have with a loved one.

Rightway Medical South is an extension of Oklahoma Treatment Services LLC. Their services are intended for people who have struggled with or are currently struggling with opioid addiction. They have seven locations across Oklahoma that assist with detox, withdrawal, and counseling. Methadone is the medication of choice, but clients also have the option to use Suboxone.

Oklahoma Treatment Services LLC is certified by the Oklahoma Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and CARF.

The Recovery Center is a CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited, non-profit treatment center that has been in operation since 1981. The 48-bed facility specializes in the detox process, but also offers intensive outpatient programs, family support programs, opioid use specific outpatient programs, and case management services. The Recovery Center also offers ambulatory detox.

The Recovery Center is the only non-profit center in the city that offers assessments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They understand that chemical dependency is a problem that’s fluid in nature, and want to be available to patients and clients exactly when they need them to be.

The Recovery Center accepts clients who meet state eligibility requirements and allows for private pay for those who do not.

C.A.R.E. for Change (Community Adolescent Rehabilitation Effort) is a not-for-profit, community-based treatment center that has been in operation for 25 years. Though the word “adolescent” is in the name, they provide treatment for people of all ages. C.A.R.E. is able to provide services free of charge for those who qualify.

Individual and group therapy is offered, as well as community outreach programs, case management, and drug testing. Therapy will focus on anger management, socialization, problem-solving, decision making, and values.

Catalyst Behavioral Services first opened in 1973 as a nonprofit substance abuse treatment facility. What started as a small and experimental operation (rehab as we know it wasn’t readily available in 1973) has turned into one of the biggest operations in all of Oklahoma. Catalyst offers outpatient detox services, outpatient services, and works with clients who have been court ordered to attend rehab.

Community House is a 55-bed treatment facility that treats those with substance abuse issues and/or mental illness. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days out of the year. It is the longest continually running residential treatment program in Oklahoma.

Catalyst is accredited by CARF and certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services with special distinction.

The Lindsay Clinic is a clinic that specializes in opioid use disorder This is a complex disease that can wind up being fatal if not treated properly. Fortunately for those at the Lindsay Clinic, Dr. Phillip H. Lindsay is a recovering opioid addict of 26 years himself. He has dedicated his time and put to use his medical knowledge and training to study this disease so he can best serve his community. Dr. Phillip H. Lindsay brings with him experience in emergency medicine, public health, and infectious disease while being board certified in Addiction Medicine.

He works alongside Dr. Robert B. Nisbet, who is board certified in Psychiatry, Neurology, Addiction Medicine, and has additional qualifications when it comes to Chemical Dependency. Dr. Robert B. Nisbet is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Those enrolled at the Lindsay Clinic will also get a chance to become great friends with Murphy, the Lindsay Clinic’s therapy dog!

Justin’s Lighthouse was started when the brother of Miles K. Lewis died two days after leaving a 30 day treatment facility. Lewis couldn’t wrap his head around what had happened, so he hunkered down and really looked into the rehab and recovery industry. He didn’t like what he saw, so with the help of his other brother, he founded Justin’s Lighthouse, named for his late brother Justin.

While this is a faith based center, clients do not need to be Christian, or any religion for that matter, to attend Justin’s Lighthouse. Recovery is the number one goal with that goal being achieved through every avenue Justin’s Lighthouse could think to give. From medication-assisted detox and treatment to intensive individual and group therapy, those who seek to break free from addiction will have plenty of resources at their fingertips at this 4 acre facility.

Miles K. Lewis found that one of the main problems with rehab and recovery is that clients could be cut off from treatment once insurance money runs out. This is what happened with Lewis’s brother. At Justin’s Lighthouse, they make a pledge to let clients stay until they feel comfortable walking the path to recovery outside of facility walls.

Open since 2010, Rob’s Ranch is a men's only inpatient treatment center that centers recovery around finding christ. Clients are offered a 30-day program at a location in Sayre, Oklahoma, or a 90-day program at the original inpatient facility in Purcell, Oklahoma. Because Rob’s Ranch believes in the power of empathy, both programs are operated by men who are also in recovery.

Both programs use the 12-step method made popular by Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Clients will receive 24 hours of therapy each week, whether that be individual therapy or group therapy.

Outdoor activity is a big part of the treatment at Rob’s Ranch. The Purcell location sits on 70 acres of land with a pond and several athletic facilities.

Family education days are conducted every eight weeks in the 90-day program to make sure that clients have the support they need outside of the Ranch. Rob’s Ranch also provides referrals for sober living.

A Chance to Change was established in 1979 by Rachel Witten and Jackie Lindblad. A year prior, they had received training on how to help adolescents and their families with alcohol and substance abuse. They formed a Student Assistance Program, which inspired the establishment of A Chance to Change one year later.

Having been in operation for four decades, A Chance to Change is CARF accredited. They go out of their way to help the community around them. From the Employee Assistance Program to A Chance to Recover (a family assistance program), A Chance to Change helps any and everyone they can. There are programs for low-income families or individuals. This is made possible by federal grants through the US Department of Health and Human Services.

As well as alcohol and drug abuse, ACTC also helps those with behavioral addictions, such as gambling.

Avenues has nine locations across the United States, including one spread out over 134 acres in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. This land is known for its rolling hills and gorgeous lakes, which gives this treatment center more of a feeling that you are at camp as opposed to rehab.

Those who are enrolled in either 60 or 90-day programs can expect plenty of individual and group therapy while being supported by an experienced staff. Clients will also have the opportunity to take cooking classes, yoga, swimming, meditation, and equine therapy.

Three group therapy sessions are conducted a day. Three gender-specific group therapy sessions are held throughout the week. Avenues only admit 24 clients at a time to make sure that each individual gets as much as they can out of the program.

The Salvation Army is known for a lot of things, but one service people might not know about are their rehab and recovery services all over the United States. These services are offered at no charge to the people who need them the most. As for the Oklahoma City location, it is a 180 residential work-therapy treatment program. Salvation Army also offers intensive outpatient services and services for adolescents.

Those who wish to use Salvation Army services need to have already detoxed before enrolling.

The Mission Treatment Center of Oklahoma is an opioid specific treatment facility that offers medically assisted treatment that helps clients with symptoms of withdrawal and cravings.. Methadone is primarily used, but clients will also have access to Suboxone, Subutex, and Vivitrol.

To gain admission, clients must live within 50 miles of the facility and must have been addicted to opioids for at least one year. Clients also need to be in a state of withdrawal at least 20-24 hours past the last use of opioids.

Adult and Teen Challenge has been up and operating in the United States for over 60 years now. Oklahoma is the home of six of these, with the first Oklahoma location having been open since 1988. ATC boasts a 78% recovery rate.

Each of these locations serves a purpose. Two of them are for men only who are over the age of 18, two are for women only over the age of 18, one is for boys younger than 18, and the other for girls younger than 18. This is a faith-based treatment center that offers, as they say, “transformation, not treatment.” The curriculum is centered around the bible, and clients will also learn work study skills for when they reintegrate into society.

Into Action Sober Living is a men's only sober living facility with two locations in Oklahoma. At Into Action, clients will be required to find employment, follow the 12 step recovery process, and find a sponsor. The goal will be to eventually become a sponsor themselves.

Into Action doesn’t think there is a distinction between alcoholism or other substance abuse, so the program works the same for everyone. Clients at Into Action are expected to hold themselves accountable every day to themselves and to everyone in the house.

Into Action thinks that spirituality is a crucial element to recovery. While Christ is used as an example, any religion is allowed. Clients are expected to seek outside treatment while at an Into Action Sober Living facility.

Firstep Recovery is sponsored by the OKC Metro Alliance and serves two purposes. The first is to help those struggling with addiction get on the road to recovery, the second being an alternative to jail for those who have committed non-violent drug offenses.

The goal of Firstep is to help clients build up their “Recovery Capital.” This “Recovery Capital” is anything that can help someone stay on the path of sobriety such as employment, peer-support, counseling, or medical care.

There are two lodges, one for men and one for women. Firstep will not turn anybody away because they are unable to pay.

Able Recovery is a SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration) certified treatment center for those who have struggled with addiction to opioids and heroin. Medication-assisted treatment is used for those during and after the detox phase. Using a MAT program helps clients with some of the symptoms of withdrawal while going through it, and also helps to mitigate cravings once they have gotten past the detox stage. Methadone is the most popular and generally most successful medicine for this process, but Able Recovery also offers Suboxone.

Compass Clinic serves those who have struggled with opioids and pain pills. This is a personalized medication-assisted outpatient treatment program to help individuals during and after the detox phase of recovery. Compass Clinic offers online consultations for clients and has a nurse on hand 24 hours a day. The cost of Compass Clinic is $75 per week.

Founded in 2002, the Alcohol, Drug and Assessment Center was originally a drug and alcohol assessment center but branched out in 2006 to offer counseling to those who are addicted. Individualized plans are created for each client after careful personalized assessments. Individual and group therapy is utilized, as well as a parenting counseling group.

The Alcohol, Drug and Assessment Center works with the state of Oklahoma. This is a pre-approved facility for those who are court-ordered to go to rehab. ADA also has a DUI program to help drivers get their licenses back.
